  I find the taste too heavy (I drink my coffee black) so I always ask the counter staff to cut it with water and it makes it much more drinkable. Coffee - one of life's little pleasures......sammieswife.

  Holy Moly! This is a real red-letter day! Sammieswife and I finally have something in common! Usually we're @ 180 degrees.

  I'm so used to, since growing up in a small town, drinking "deer-camp" coffee, burnt/old/cold/brewed yesterday, I guess I don't know what's supposed to be good. I must like burnt/old. Ignorance really is bliss. I'll go and try other coffee elsewhere. We have Dunkin' Doughnuts I think. I'll go and check it out.

  Venti Regular is just the "whatever" they brewed that day, no whipped-cream, no fun, just coffee... and a little water, huh, Sammieswife?

  I know it's insanely expensive, has long lines and possibly, no, actually is quite obnoxious. I don't care. I still love getting a Venti Regular with a little ice and no room for a ridiculous $2.

  Please tell me that, in this big, beautiful world that I'm not the only one that actually looks forward to paying way too much for a delicious cop o' joe.

  Don't get me started on the Christmas flavors!

  Big Question

  i know there may not be an answer to this question, but i am truly interested in other's views.

  i know many are of various beliefs and some do not believe in god at all.. the question is: why does god not stop the suffering?

  i watch so many suffer for no reason and no matter how i try to figure it out, i always come back to the fact that a loving parent would not allow their child to suffer needlessly.

  How do you know it's for no reason? Getting away from god as I don't believe, can't I learn from my own and others mistakes? Now what I do with that data is a different question. What if someone gets it right, using all the learnings from before and makes everything great. Great to whom? Some people enjoy despair and being the victim. Maybe they are great in what you'd call suffering.

  Wait, what if it never gets great for me? Then I lose. What if it gets great to me? Then I win. I am the driver of my own destiny. This makes it extremely easy for me. If I do well, I did well; if I don't then I didn't. No blaming, praying, waiting, wondering.

  A SIMPLE EXPLANATION of why TIME TRAVEL doesn't work

  energy and matter are neither created nor destroyed.. consequently, the building blocks of existence are actually finite parts.. to create things in "tomorrow" which are new, something has to be dismantled to leave spare parts for the new thing.. the old thing deteriorates, (dies) and the parts become the new thing.. time travel requires going to a place where all of today's parts are completely dismanteled and are being used (or not) to maintain yesterday/tomorrow.. ever see the film primer?.

  Check out the movie "What the Bleep do We Know."

  Be careful... I got lamb basted for bringing up that movie a couple of months ago. I thought it was interesting but it was written by kooks and parts fabricated and simply made up. The whole "being dirty, mean and nasty to water will cause it to form oddly shaped crystals when frozen" convinced me.

  Speaking of time travel reminded me of traveling at the speed of light. Has anyone ever seen the engineers prediction of what would happen if Santa were actually to attempt to visit all houses in one 24-hour-period? I'll see if I can find it. I thought it was pretty funny.

  clyde and i were discussing all the atrocities and wars that were fought in the name of religion, and he made an interesting comment, "if it wasn't for religion, there would be no atheists.

  " i've been thinking about that for several days.

  i was once a true believer, but my faith has been so shaken that i am on the verge of questioning his very existence.

  You're right. If it wasn't for [insert noun here], there would be no [insert anti-noun here]. You don't need something to describe nothing. I'm sure there is some cool term for this sort of reasoning but I had a little drink about an hour and it's gone straight to my head.

  so my wife just got a job at a huge company where a witness friend works.

  we only have 1 car... well my friend cant carpool with my wife to work because it would be imporoper for a man and a woman to be in the car alone.

  grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr im so frustrated.

  well election day this year seemed to have a heavy turnout.

  they had new voting machines and the process seemed to take much longer than usual.

  the language in many of these issues seems so obscure, you would think they would put ballot language in the common mans terms, instead of alot of legalese.
